Kustom bilt model trucks

  On this site you will see some of the model trucks I have built.  I started building model trucks in 1968 when I was nine years old.  As years went by I got better. When I started driving , a lot of  my models where of the ones I actualy drove. I love building truck models and I hope my work shows it. If you have any questions, send me an email.

 These are pictures of my latest model. A 1:16 scale Mack Granite and a 40 yard dump trailer. This trailer was tough to make. I guessed at all the dimentions and got them right. The floor beams are the same as the real ones made with Plastruct rectangular tubing. The piston is made of copper and aluminum tubes. The frame was cut out of flat plastic and I added an edge to make it into an I beam. I used the wheels, axels and suspension from two 1:16 scale K.W. kits. Monogram made only one 1:16 scale flatbed trailer. It would be nice if they put it out with the tractors. So I got creative and made my own. The Mack cab is from a bruder toy. It is fitted to the K.W. frame.
